Guide to Dog Friendly Pubs in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Wales

When you are on a UK pet friendly holiday, finding dog friendly pubs can be tricky, so making sure you find a place where your dog is welcomed with open arms is very important. To help you find the right place for you and your four legged friend we have put together a guide of dog friendly pubs close to our holiday parks in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Wales.

Devon

The Dolphin Inn, Combe Martin - Sandaway & Combe Martin - Situated directly opposite Combe Martin Beach this dog friendly pub has some spectacular views for you to enjoy a pint with your pooch. The Dolphin Inn offers a fantastic beer garden, cosy lounge area, range of beer and cider and a hearty ‘pub style' food menu.

Ye Olde Globe Inn, Berrynarbor - Sandaway & Combe Martin - This traditional character pub in Berrynarbor dates back to 1675. There is an extensive menu of locally sourced food and drink and welcomes dogs and children.

Pack O' Cards, Combe Martin - Sandaway & Combe Martin - Pack o' Cards is a family and dog friendly pub in North Devon that was established in 1997. They have a varied menu sourcing fresh, local produce plus their famous Sunday carvery which runs from 12pm - 8pm every Sunday. The Pack O' Cards is dog friendly in 2 out of their 3 restaurants.

The Thatch, Croyde - Sandaway & Combe Martin - With a traditional thatched roof, set in the picturesque village of Croyde, there's something quite beautiful about the personality of this pub. If you are looking for a pub with character, great food and immense atmosphere this is the perfect place for you and your dog.

Blue Anchor, Brixham - South Bay - This traditional pub is located on the harbourside of Brixham and is a very popular choice with locals and holiday makers. With a selection of local ales, live music and pub classic meals there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Hennessey Cocktail Lounge, Brixham - South Bay - Boasting spectacular views, exquisite cocktails and fantastic service this is a fantastic dog friendly venue in the harbourside of Brixham. You can enjoy live music and weekly DJ nights plus a wonderful tapas and pizza menu.

The Manor, Brixham - South Bay - The Manor pub is one of the oldest pubs in Devon that serves a variety of cask ales, draught lagers, craft beers, fine wines, cocktails, premium spirits and tasty bar snacks.

Cornwall

The Watermill Inn, Lelant - St Ives Holiday Village - Set in beautiful surroundings this mill-conversion pub has a working water wheel situated in the stunning beer garden and is a popular choice with our guests.  The Watermill was built in the late 18th century and is within walking distance of St Ives Holiday Village boasting great food, ales and wine.

Sloop Inn, St Ives - St Ives Holiday Village - One of Cornwall's oldest and most famous Inns that specialises in fresh local seafood and locally sourced steaks. Situated on the harbour all of the shops, beaches and art galleries are in walking distance.

The Rum & Crab Shack, St Ives - St Ives Holiday Village - This bar has great views over St Ives bay and has a laid back atmosphere with a rustic wooden restaurant. You can choose from an assortment of seafood platters and selection of 50 rums to sample. The bar area is dog friendly.

Salt Kitchen Bar, Hayle - Tolroy Manor - This fantastic bar offers delicious food and splendid drinks in the heart of Hayle where dogs are welcomed during the day time.

Bird In Hand, Hayle - Tolroy Manor- The Bird in Hand family pub is located at the entrance of Paradise Park just a couple of minutes from Tolroy Manor. This dog friendly pub is the perfect venue for a family meal or an evening of live music.

The Cornish Arms, Hayle - Tolroy Manor - This warm and welcoming pub provides top quality St Austell ales and guest craft beers, excellent food including Sunday roast and vegan menu and a brilliant beer garden.

The Crumplehorn Inn & Mill, Polperro - Killigarth Manor - This small yet traditional Cornish Inn has a unique character with an extensive food menu, a range of Cornish real ales, ciders and stout and dogs are welcomed in the bar and outdoor areas.

The Ship Inn, Polperro - Killigarth Manor - There is something for everyone at The Ship Inn with a fantastic selection of food and drink on offer and if it's entertainment you're looking for there is always something happening at The Ship Inn. You can enjoy live music, themed parties, major sporting events and more.

Blue Peter Inn, Polperro - Killigarth Manor - Perched between fishermen's houses and overlooking the harbour, the Blue Peter Inn is an award winning pub that attracts many visitors. With hearty food, satisfying selection of drinks and a wonderful atmosphere this quaint pub is a great way to finish off a day exploring Polperro with your furry friend.

The Fishermans Arms, Looe - Trelawne Manor - A popular pub with locals as well as passersby, The Fisherman's Arms was built in the 16th Century and is claimed to be the oldest pub in Looe. It is an old traditional drinker's pub with a range of cask ales and live music on the weekends.

The Jolly Sailor Inn, Looe - Trelawne Manor - After a recent refurbishment The Jolly Sailor Inn is one of the most desirable dog friendly pubs to visit in Looe. There are real ales, food, music, quiz nights, rock and roll bingo, themed nights, parties and comedy nights constantly throughout the year.

The Jubilee Inn, Pelynt - Trelawne Manor - The Jubilee Inn is a 16th century pub that is the perfect place to visit when you are exploring south eat Cornwall.  They serve locally sourced food, St Austell ales, Healey's cider and a range of other local drinks including Cornish rum and gin.

Crooklets Inn, Bude - Widemouth Bay - Situated directly on the South West Coast Path, this modern pub is in the perfect location for a dog walker wanting to stop for a drink during a long or leisurely stroll. You can enjoy four large screens showing live sport from BT Sport & Sky Sports and a great selection of local ales, beers, ciders and wines.

Widemouth Manor - Widemouth Bay - Widemouth Manor is located just a couple of minutes walk from Widemouth Bay Caravan Park on the headland overlooking the long sandy beach. There are various menus and specials available plus a wonderful Sunday carvery available 12pm-5pm.

Olive Tree, Bude - Widemouth Bay - The Olive Tree is located beside Bude's famous canal, offering lots of outdoor seating with parasols for the sunnier days and a menu filled with Cornish produce that will leave you spoilt for choice.

The Watering Hole, Perranporth - Perran View - You'll find The Watering Hole nestled amongst the sand dunes on Perranporth Beach and is the only bar on the beach in the whole of the UK! It's an immense spot to relax after a long dog walk along the beach with delicious food and scrumptious cider.

The Seiners Arms, Perranporth- Perran View - The Seiners Arms is a family run restaurant and bar beautifully located on the Perranporth seafront with phenomenal views over Perranporth's iconic Chapel Rock. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere will make you and your dog feel like part of the family.

The Perranporth Inn - Perran View - The Perranporth Inn is a family run sports bar & restaurant at the heart of the seaside town of Perranporth. With great food, cold beer, friendly locals, seafood specials menu and a variety of events throughout the year this pub is the perfect place to visit during your Cornwall holidays.

Somerset

The Black Dog Saloon, Cheddar - Sandy Glade - Located in the charming town of Cheddar, The Black Dog Saloon is a family run pub inspired by the Wild West. You can expect great food, affordable drinks and an exciting Wild West experience.

The Fox and Goose, Highbridge - Sandy Glade - Priding their selves on homemade food to order, The Fox and Goose offer an exciting and varied menu using local suppliers and farm shops. This pub welcomes dogs into the bar area and all outdoor areas so you can enjoy a pint and some grub with your dog whatever the weather.

Dunstan House Inn, Burnham-on-Sea - Sandy Glade - Dunstan House Inn is located only a few minutes from Sandy Glade and Sandy Meadows in the heart of Burnham-on-Sea. With attractive interior, seaside charm and beautifully landscaped beer garden this inn is the ideal spot for food and drink during your Somerset holidays.

The Red Cow, Highbridge - Sandy Glade - This countryside pub in the peaceful village of Brent Knoll offers a warm welcome to locals and visitors. The cosy pub has a wide range of facilities including tranquil gardens, locally produced food and drink, parking and a function room.

Wales

Gower Inn, Swansea - Llanrhidian - The Gower Inn offers great meals at phenomenal value whether it is just you and your dog or a large group this pub caters for all parties.  You can enjoy outside dining when it's dry or a warm and cosy atmosphere during the winter.

Kings Head Inn, Swansea - Llanrhidian- This 17th Century in is located in the coastal village of Llangennith with easy access to the dog friendly Llangennith Beach. The pub itself serves traditional pub food all year round priding their menu on locally sourced Welsh produce, you can also expect to sample a variety of Welsh ales, gins and whiskeys.

The Pilot of Mumbles, Swansea - Llanrhidian - Situated on the seafront, The Pilot was one of the first real ale pubs in Swansea when it was established in 1849. This pub has its very own onsite brewery offering craft beers, cask ales and fine wines.

Beaufort Arms, Swansea - Llanrhidian - This charming pub is the perfect place to start or end your Wales holiday in the Gower. As the only pub in Kittle you'll be greeted by locals who will welcome you with open arms, whilst the kids run free at the park and you can sit back and listen to the live music.
