Award Winning Ilfracombe Park Receives £25,000 for New Play Equipment

Sorry I haven't spoken to you much recently, I've been super busy with the stripey team getting ready for the 2016 season...EXCITING!

I've jumped back on my blog today because I heard some amazing news that families staying at our holiday parks in Devon will want to hear...

Bicclescombe Park, just down the road from our Ilfracombe Holiday Parks, has received £25,000 to invest in brand new playground equipment.

North Devon Council agreed to supply the funds for new equipment during a meeting of the council's executive on Tuesday.

The council will itself provide funds for the work, along with Section 106 contributions made by developers in the town, the Bicclescombe Park Improvement Group and the Ilfracombe Lions Club.

Councillor Brian Moores said: “Bicclescombe Park is a fantastic park for the whole family and it's quite clear why it wins a Green Flag every year.”

“I am very happy that we are able to support the provision of some more play equipment and I congratulate the park improvement group for their fundraising efforts.”

Two weeks of work is due to begin in May or June, so the summer in Ilfracombe should be a lot fun for you guys on your Devon holidays.
