Best dog friendly attractions in Cornwall

Hey friends! It's been a while since we last spoke but I have been having too much fun playing with all of the lively dogs at our Cornwall caravan parks. If you are on your family holidays in Cornwall, being able to take your four legged friend on days out makes your pet friendly holidays much more memorable.

I have put together a list of my favourite pet friendly attractions to visit near our holiday parks in Cornwall so you can all make the most of your holidays with pets.

Lost Gardens of Heligan

With over 200 acres of mysterious gardens and estate to explore there is so much to be discovered here when you are on your Cornish holidays. Look out for the Giant's Head, Mud Maid and Grey Lady that are all waiting on the Woodland Walk. Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome to the Gardens all year round providing a fantastic place to walk your furry friend.

The Minack Theatre

Cornwall's famous open- air theatre is carved into a granite cliff and set in glorious gardens overlooking the spectacular Porthcurno Bay. Dogs are allowed in on leads during day visits so you can take in the extraordinary scenery with all of the family. However dogs are not permitted during any of the performances. After your day visit you can take your dog for a stroll onto  Porthcurno Beach followed by a quick dip in the sea. Please note this is a dog friendly beach but has a seasonal ban from May - September.

Adrenalin Quarry

Adrenalin Quarry provides adventure activities for all of the family whilst you are on your cheap UK holidays. Have a go at the Zip, high zipwire, or the Giant Swing that can launch you 170ft over the lake. Wild swimming, coasteering and axe throwing are also available alongside the 'Blob' their human catapult.  Dogs are welcome on the site, where you can enjoy the day beside the lake with a picnic or BBQ whilst sunbathing on the lawn.

Bodmin and Wenford Railway

Discover the excitement of a journey back in time on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway. It is Cornwall's only full size railway still operated by steam locomotives and gives you the chance to explore Cornwall's railway heritage. Dogs are welcome on the trains (except in the Bar & Buffet Car) and require a £1.00 ticket. Unfortunately dogs are not to go on the furniture so they must sit nicely on the floor. Please ensure that dogs are on a short lead whilst on the platforms.

Trebah Garden

Trebah offers Cornwall visitors a year round experience, with it's 25 acre sub-tropical gardens that back on to it's own private beach on the Helford River. With adventure play areas, children's trails and special events all year round, this attraction is the perfect family and dog friendly garden to visit during your Cornish holidays. Dogs are welcome in the garden and on the beach all year round but they have to be on a lead at all time. There are designated doggie tables in Trebah Kitchen, so dog lovers can sit together. Dogs are also welcome on the garden terrace and in the picnic area.

Don't forget here at John Fowler Holidays we have lots of dog friendly accommodation at all 11 of our holiday parks. We charge a small supplement per pet; £40 per week, £25 per short break and £3 per night for camping and touring bookings. We allow a maximum of 2 pets are permitted per unit.
