Celebrate the best local produce at first ever Bude For Food Festival

You know me, I love to keep you updated on the local “foodie” scene in preparation for your last minute UK breaks, and I've got news of a brand new festival you guys should be really excited about.

This weekend, Cornwall's most up and coming seaside town hosts Bude For Food, showcasing the area's rich culinary history in the best way possible, with a festival of course!

Bude For Food | John Fowler Last Minute Holidays

The festival is staged close to Widemouth Bay Caravan Park, on the iconic Bude Castle lawns, from the 19th September closing on the 21st.

If you're planning a visit on your last minute holidays UK, you can expect to see 50 local food and drink producers, cooking demonstrations in the kitchen theatre, celebrity chefs and big-name evening entertainers.

Watching the demonstrations will no doubt whip you up an appetite, so the food village is on hand to satisfy those cravings. You'll find street food vendors from Thai, to Mexican, BBQ and British!

In the evenings, what better way to work off the day's food than with a bit of dancing and laughing from the pit of that full stomach? On the opening night Irish/Iranian/Geordie comedian Patrick Monahan plans to give you cheek-ache with his mix of effortless comedy and audience interaction, while Saturday sees live music from local 8-piece folk band Freshly Squeezed.
