National Storytelling Week

Hey boys and girls!

It has been very quiet here at our caravan parks lately, but I am getting very excited for our Somerset holiday parks to open in 3 weeks time for February half term! Tomorrow is the start of National Storytelling Week and to keep me busy until you guys arrive for your UK holidays I have been reading my favourite rabbit stories.

Here are my top 3 favourite stories:

Miffy - Miffy was "born" in 1955 by Dick Bruna who would tell his eldest son bedtime stories about a little, white bunny. Miffy has has two pointy ears and little chubby cheeks, she is Dick Bruna's best known and most popular character, featuring in more than 30 books. Lots of kids can relate to Miffy and her adventures sending their imaginations wild.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit - This well loved Beatrix Potter book follows the tale of mischievous Peter Rabbit and his 3 siblings as he is chased around the vegetable garden of Mr McGregor, warning children about the consequences of misbehaving. The humorous, lively tales of Peter Rabbit and the beautiful illustrations have become a natural part of childhood.

Guess How Much I Love You - How do you measure love? Is it from the top of your head to the ends of your toes? The height you can jump? Or all the colours you can think of? Guess How Much I Love You has been enchanting readers of all ages for more than two decades, an enduring classic about the ways that sometimes the things that matter most are larger, wider and deeper than we can fathom.

It's still not too late to book your February half term holiday at our Somerset holiday parks and until 31st January we are offering 20% off holidays at Sandy Glade & Sandy Meadows
