Rick and Jill Stein launch third annual photography competition

Capturing Cornwall on camera is one of my favourite ways to keep occupied during my time off from The Foxy Club. The rugged coastline, expansive countryside and unique wildlife offer the opportunity to create lifetime memories through still pictures.

With the massive growth in smartphones and smaller cameras like Go Pros, there has never been an easier time to take a high quality picture on the go. I see some breathtaking pictures snapped by people exploring Cornwall on their self catering holidays.

It's these photographs that could see you earn a prize in Rick and Jill Steins third annual photography competition.

Jill said: "It's hard not to fall in love with Cornwall.

"For me it is a lifetime love affair. It has a diverse landscape, a world-class food scene, dramatic coastline and the best beaches in the country. We would like to see what makes Cornwall so special for you."

The competition is broken down in to three categories – Padstow's Coast & Country, #GetCooking and Postcards from Falmouth.

The Padstow's Coast & Country category is sponsored by Whistlefish Galleries, with the winner receiving a seafood cookery break for two including a cookery course at Padstow Seafood School and an overnight stay. There will be two runner-up prizes of £100 in gift vouchers.

#GetCooking is an Instagram specific category. All you need to do is snap your mouth-watering, Rick Stein inspired dishes and post them to Instagram, tagging 'TheSeafood' and including the #GetCooking hashtag. Winners of a signed Rick Stein India cookbook will be drawn monthly.

The final category is Postcards From Falmouth – Rick and Jill want you to capture your love of Falmouth in one shot. Monthly winners will receive a three-course meal for two people and a bottle of house wine at Rick Stein's Fish, Falmouth.

Competition entries can be submitted up to the end of September, so your summer self catering short breaks should be the perfect time to take that winning photograph!
