Rock Painting Craze Spreads Through Cornwall

Hey Foxy Friends!

The Easter egg hunts may be over at John Fowler Holiday Parks but there is a new craze spreading through Cornwall - rock hunting! This craze is making children and adults smile across the county, from Penzance to Bude & Newquay to St Ives, painted rocks have popped up everywhere close to our beachside holiday parks

What started a few months ago has spread like wildfire along the Cornish coast and everyone is painting, hiding and hunting for rocks in parks, bushes, riverbanks and our beautiful beaches. This hobby of stone painting has now become so popular and now groups have launched on social media to share their work.

It might sound crazy but this activity is keeping parents and children entertained whilst on their family holidays Cornwall and are enjoying the exciting 'treasure' hunt and what they will discover next.

Why not get creative and get outdoors when you are on your Cornwall holidays this year and become a part of this rock painting/ hiding community! Keep your eyes peeled for the brightly painted stones with messages and colourful patterns and drawings.

Please tag our Facebook, Instagram & Twitter pages with any painted rocks that you paint or find!
