Top 10 Camping Tips This Summer

With the summer well on it's way here at our holiday parks, it is time to start packing your bags for the annual family camping holiday! Our camping pitches at Widemouth Bay and Sandaway Beach are looking better than ever and we can't wait for you to make the most of this warm weather on our lovely touring fields! 

Here are our top 5 tips for camping with the family: 

Clever Packing

Be prepared for all weather but don't go overboard! A jam packed car never makes a journey very fun, plus tents don't have much in the way of storage. 

Keep Warm 

One area you can go overboard on is bedding! You want happy campers not grumpy campers and a bad or cold night's sleep could ruin your trip! 

Enjoy the outdoors 

Get the kids (and the adults) away from their phones and tablets and make the most of the British weather. Try scavenger hunts, bug and wildlife trails or just an old fashioned game of rounders, fun for all of the family! 

Make Friends

A camping trip is a great opportunity to meet people and enjoy a drink together around a camp fire. Many people who go camping make friends for life and the chances are you you'll at least have camping in common! 

Light up the dark 

Not only are they cool to look at but glow in the dark tent pegs are very useful to navigate around the tent at night time to save any trips or falls over the ropes. Make sure you take a torch or a night light for those late night trips to the toilet blocks.
