What’s On in North Devon this Winter

It's the most wonderful time of the year... Hey Foxy Friends! It's very quiet here at our holiday parks in Devon, but even so, there are so many festive events going on around our static caravan parks! From Christmas lights switch-on events, Santa's Grotto, festive markets – there are so many North Devon events to look forward to this winter.

Bideford Christmas light switch on – On the 3rd of December there will be a full day of Christmas cheer in Bideford with the festivities running from midday to 7pm. There will be lots to see and do including the annual Santa Fun Run for the Children's Hospice South West, along with the light switch on at 5pm, followed by the Reindeer Parade.

Woolly's Wonderland at The Big Sheep- Santa's elves will be beavering away day and night at The BIG Sheep adding their very own Christmas creativity to bring the magic of Christmas to everyone who visits. Join Santa's magical light show, try out ice skating, tobogganing or jump on the snowboard simulator, you can also visit the Ewetopia indoor playground, Eweston Station Train Ride & Twister Ride.

Christmas at The Milky Way Adventure Park – A fun-filled festive day out is promised at The Milky Way Adventure Park this Christmas. On certain dates throughout December Father Christmas and his elves will be visiting in the magical grotto where each child will receive a free gift. There will also be many craft activities happening such as; gingerbread decorating, personalise baubles and make your own Christmas cards.

Christmas at Pennywell Farm – Get into the true spirit of Christmas at Pennywell Farm and watch nativity plays in the barn with animals looking on with children and adults given the opportunity to dress up and be one of the star performers if they would like to. After the performance each child will meet Father Christmas in his magical grotto to receive their very special Christmas gift.

A warm festive welcome then awaits you in Henny Penny's Cafe where the smell of mulled wine and delicious warm mince pies fills the air. Children are treated to a homemade Christmas biscuit and soft drink, while adults enjoy a glass of mulled wine or a tea/coffee and a warm mince pie.

Santa Specials at Lynton and Barnstaple Railway – Hop aboard the exciting 2 mile return journey from Woody Bay Station to Killington Lane and back by steam train. Children can experience the magic of Christmas by meeting father Christmas and receiving their individual present. Santa Specials this year will operate: December 9th and 10th, 16th and 17th and 21st - 24th inclusive.

North Devon Christmas Market in Braunton – Returning for the third time on Saturday 2nd December, Braunton is getting ready for what is going to be the biggest Christmas market in the South West this year. The markets will once again be held on and around Caen Street car park where there will be up to 150 stalls offering everything from arts and crafts and Christmas goodies to street food and local produce.
