What’s On This October Half Term (2017)

Hey foxy friends! School's nearly out for October half term already and there is so much going on when you are on your UK family holidays and visiting our caravan parks.

Here's our top October Half term/ Halloween events happening around our holiday parks.

Cornwall

FlambardsFamilies can enjoy spine-tingling rides and a spooky pumpkin trail in the creepy Victorian Village throughout the day and watch fireworks light up the sky in the evening. Headlining the Wednesday night celebrations will be a fantastic Olly Murs Tribute, so you can sing and dance the night away to his most famous hits. 

Other events taking place throughout the week include creepy crawly shows, circus workshops, ghost stories and Ferdi the Fox onstage with his friends on Monday, October 23rd for an afternoon of fun and games!

Pirates Quest- Newquay's Pirate's Quest is inviting the bravest buccaneers to hop aboard from some fiendish family-friendly fun this October Half Term. The piratical walk-through experience will be packed with plenty of tricks and a few treasures where Visitors will be transported back almost 300 years, where they'll begin their adventure on board a Pirate Hunter's Ship. Then it's time to decide whether you're brave enough to enter the optional scare section, The Locker of Davy Jones – perfect for a seasonal scare!

Camel Creek - Bursting with ghoulish events and nerve-wracking thrills, Halloween at Camel Creek this year is going to be SPOOKTACULAR! Devon

The Big Sheep - Fun by day, scary by night. at The BIG Sheep with sheepy shows, fun rides and Halloween activities for the whole family. Enjoy a trip on the haunted hayride or a spin on Arachnophobia our giant 8ft Spider, explore the Haunted House or if you're feeling very brave try the Spooky Castle. . As darkness falls six haunted attractions come alive from 6pm to 10pm and what's more, The Haunted Hayride is back for 2017 – bigger, better and more terrifying than ever before. Will you make it through the night in one piece or will you fall victim to a chainsaw wielding maniac or blood thirsty clown?

The Milkway Adventure Park - Your little horrors will be able to take part in wand making, spell writing & casting, broomstick riding (for little ones) and potion making. With the added excitement of a fancy dress competition, themed show and special spooky swamp dodgems sessions, the frighteningly fun atmosphere will get this year's holiday off with a BOO!

Then Star Wars fans will be excited to hear that on Saturday October 28 Storm Troopers and other characters from the legendary films are returning once again to The Milky Way. This is all thanks to the 501st UK Garrison, the world's largest and most accurate Star Wars costume character club, who donate 100% of their appearance fees to charity.

Torquay's Dinosaur World - Discover the dinosaur Halloween horrors this half term, save the dinosaurs from the ghastly ghosts and wicked witch or Halloween Horrors Hunt to win a Dinosaur Expert Certificate and a FREE 160-million-year-old fossil. From 3.30pm everyday visit for our 'Lights Out Torch Tour' to explore the exhibition in the dark, listen to a scary ghost story, and meet Terry the baby T Rex.

Somerset

The Shepton Mallet Prison- The most haunted prison in the UK is the perfect place to visit at Halloween, you can even stay over night and take part in a ghost hunt... if you dare. The Shepton Mallet Prison in Somerset, was once home to the Kray Twins, is now opening for overnight ghost hunts. This terrifying experience involves searching for spirits throughout the night which reside in the haunted prison. 

Wookey Hole- Wookey Hole is waiting to thrill visitors this October half termBetween 21 October to 5 November visitors will be entertained by all the activities Wookey Hole is offering with over 20 Spooktacular attractions! Learn to ride a broomstick, visit the Wookey Witch's haunted grotto, kid's fancy dress competition and be haunted by the circus of horrors! 

Weston SeaQuarium

Join SeaQuarium for witches, ghosts and eerie tales in our Spooky Spectacular event! Full of family fun, spooky shows and Halloween crafts, it is the perfect way to celebrate October half term and brighten up the spookiest of seasons! There will be a variety of spooky characters and ghostly figures out for a frightful surprise! For the ultimate spooky atmosphere, everyone is encouraged to dress up and be prepared for some magical family fun.

Plus, Jasper the Jellyfish needs your help to find his friends who are under a spooky spell...
