X Factor auditions coming to Newquay!

I like to think of myself as a bit of a singer and have always fancied having a crack at The X Factor. If you've visited John Fowler Holidays before, you may have heard me singing Whitney Houston from the shower of our holiday lodges in Cornwall.

It looks like I'll finally get my X Factor chance, and you can too if you're staying at Perran View Holiday Park this coming weekend! For the first time in the show's history, auditions are being held in Cornwall.

Newquay's Great Western Hotel on Cliff Road will be the host on Sunday 30^th March, between 10am and 3pm. The auditions are open to anyone aged 16 or over and there is no need for advanced bookings – producers are asking for people to simply turn up and enter the competition.

Manager of the Great Western Hotel, Barbara May said: “It's fantastic for Newquay to be hosting the mobile X Factor audition this coming Sunday.”

“Hopefully we will get a really great turnout. We have live music here every Friday night, so we know what a great music scene Cornwall has.

“There are some really talented people out there so I'm confident we will see someone go through to the live shows.”

It has not been confirmed whether Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and the other X Factor judges will be in Newquay during the auditions - I hope so though, I adore Cheryl Cole!
