Proud Supporters of the South West Coast Path

We are delighted to announce our new membership with the South West Coast Path! 9 of our UK holiday parks are situated directly on the Coast Path and every year we attract so many people to our caravan parks who want to visit the Coast Path, so working together seemed a perfect match! 

It costs at least £1,000 per year for every mile of this glorious path to be kept open, safe and clearly signed. Therefore consistent funding from our membership helps to match other funds from partners like the National Trust and local authorities that is needed for improvement projects. 

Funding from membership has helped to partly fund hundreds of small projects to improve or repair the Coast Path. By becoming a member we realise how important helping to protect this amazing natural asset is, not only for our guests but for locals and future generations. 

If you on a UK family break with us at one of our Cornwall caravan sites or at one of our lodges in Devon you will find several bespoke walks of the path with circular routes directly from our holiday sites. 

The South West Coast Path Association is the charity working to protect and champion the South West Coast Path, so that we can all benefit from the coastal landscape. At 630 miles, the Coast Path is England's longest National Trail, and it gives access to some amazing natural spaces: over 70% of the Path is in either a National Park or designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Over 9 million people every year use the Trail to enhance their mental and physical well-being, but many don't realise the hard work that goes into keeping the coastline accessible. Most don't know that there are teams of rangers, volunteers, and outreach staff, to name a few, working invisibly in the background so we can all enjoy this amazing natural asset. When you consider that climate change is causing increasingly extreme weather to batter the coast; the erosion caused by the growing number of feet on the Path and the finite lifespan of essential infrastructure like bridges and way-markers, you can see why it costs £1000 per mile per year, just to keep the 630-mile trail open.
